team up thursday - chairs

This weeks' theme is chosen by Marcelle and it's CHAIRS

Marcelles photo is great and it reminds me of the "good old times" when we spent our holidays with camping.... That were times and I can't remember how often I fell off from these charis as they were not very steady and robust.

And look thos colors and the pattern - weren't they exactly those from the good old "late 70th"??? Great memories.

My photo is from a very old chair - where my granddad used to sit on. He had it in front of his desk and sat there for hours and hours while doing the accouning (when he had his bakery) and later for his diary entries (when he was retired). I think this chair could tell stories about my granddad's thoughts (which he sometimes spoke out).
I can remember exactly (I must have been about 10 years old) that I told my granddad if he doesn't need his chair and deks anymore I would love to have it in my room (I didn't think in that way that he somedays will die - it was just a thought of a child)...
Later when I  moved to Munich and my grandparents visited me my granddad asked me if I still am interested in the chair and the desk - my chin fell off - never thought that he would remember my saying years ago.
I nodded and told him that I would love to have it in my flat but I would love it much more if he would use it for the next 30 yeas. He grinned and replied: " I try to"..... In the end he used that chair and desk more than 15 years after he asked me and when he had to go to the nursery home he always told my granddad, my aunt and my dad that chair and desk will move to Munich.... And so it happened years ago.....

Sometimes I "see" my granddad sitting in this chair with his cute smile - telling me: Its not just the chair and the desk who is with you - its me also....." And I believe in that. WILL ALWAYS LUV YA GRANDDAD AND WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!!!!

So this week its interesting what our photos could tell - great thoughts - great memories and a little sadness  those times are "over"....

Sometimes it's "scary" how Marcelle and I think alike - you might think: Why alike? Those chairs? They are totally different - and you may be right - but they both are "old" - so again we though in similar ways....
