What a weekend - and its almost over

.... shewww - again its sunday evening and I ask myself where the time has gone. I had a really tough weekend.
Friday I left house at 06.00 pm in the evening on my way to the venue of the photoshooting I was aked to do. Arrived at 06.30 pm and immediately had my camera in front of my eyes and started to take photos. At 08.00 am I was asked by Karen (she is the one who hired me for this job) to come backstage to "Ich + Ich" to take some photos with Adel Tawil (the singer of the band) and her and her boss..... No question I was with her.
We were introduced to Adel and talked very nice with him - a very nice and handsome man - no allures - really normal and then we took some photos backstage.

At 09.00 pm he started to sing with his band and I took some photos - was a good concert and about 60 mins - he sang all his well known songs and some of the new album I didn't heard before.

Here we have two of my favrourite songs: Take a "click" and take a "listen".....

Wasps and flowers.....

So and here we have the weekend again - yesterday I visited my friend and she has visitors in her garden::

I LOVE the photo in the middle - a funny one :)

And what do I have in my garden? Flowers :)

Oh no - I can see a bee......

I have a tough photoshooting to do this evening - an afterwork party with lots of bands and one famous german band "Ich und Ich" (which I like very much) and today I got told that the party is going to end up at 07.00 am saturday morning with a breakfast - and I was asked to do photos as long as I can.....

Team up thursday

Here we go again - team up thursday - another thursday with another theme which is chosen by me:

HEARTS

I exactly knew which photo I wanted to show this week but inspired by Marcelle (again) I thought I should not take a look in my folders and search for a photo - I think all team up thursday photos should be acually ones.
So  the day before yesterday when I went for a little walk in our close forest with my neighbour I found my HEART:

I am sure you might think that I missed the theme  - but take a second look. I nearly passed that tree and then immediately turned and thought - yes - thats MY HEART for this weeks theme. I have to say  originally (the tree) you see it a little better. But isn't it funny how nature shows itself sometimes?

This is our diptych:

And here we have "Marcelle's heart":

Again I have to say I am totally in love her photo - my first thought is she should print it on canvas (as her photo last week) or at least she should offer it to sell...... what a perfect moment  - full of love and heart:
Head off Marcelle - you are doing such a great job - I am blown away. Just the idea to take a photo of the brides backside and with this heart-balloon - photo all in b/w and only the red heart is devastatingly!!!! WELL DONE AGAIN MARCELLE

On the run again.....

.... seems I don't have time for me and my beloved photography anymore.... So much to do and to arrange these days...And I hate taking photos with the thought in my mind I should used that time for other things - but on tuesday I have been hired by some tourists who did white water rafting and I was asked to take some photos from the waterside.
As these tourist were "private" I cannot post photos where their faces are shown - so just one from the boat and one from the walk around.

Day "x" has come.......

.....and I cannot believe that my neighbours and close friends will move to Essen today - I think I told before we are friends for more than 12 years now and neighbours for 6 years and although we haven't met every day it was such a great relationship.
Their children are in Essen already - they were picked up by friends yesterday evening and they took them to their house for the next week. When they came to say goodbye we all cried and they came 3 times to say goodbye! You really felt that they didn't want to go - didn't want to realize that they are now 600 km away and didn't want to say goodbye.
We had a nice evening with our neighbours yesterday - talked about "good old times" and had laughters and then again tears in our eyes but I think the big "Goodbye" this evening will break my heart.
I always find it harder for those who stay - for the others a new challenge starts - they have so much to organize - everything is new and there is excitement all over.
For those who stay they are reminded often - house all empty and windows closed - but we now have a new challenge too. We bought that half of the house in addition to ours and from next week in there are several things to do - like two new windows - house has to be painted - balcony has to be modernized and and and... Nevertheless it will always be the "Schwarzens House" (Their last name is Schwarz  - that means black and they are often called "Blackies" by us)

Its funny to see how your life "disappears" step by step in this cardboards...

This is not my neighbour - its one of the "relocation-people"

I did a photobook for them with all events and holidays we did together - new years eve, skiing, barbeque-ing,
birthday parties, walks, cycle tours and I am waiting impatiently for the book to arrive as I've ordered it 2 weeks ago and was told that it was posted on thursday. Normally it takes just one week to be  produced and sent over. But due to the fact there are holidays now they told me that it might take a little longer to produce.

So hopefully the postman will ring soon :)

A short hello from Munich......

Posted by Picasa

I just want to say a short "hello" - have been to the city center yesterday and climbed  306!!!!!!!! steps to get this view. I've done that a few times and every time I think its worth that "workout". But yesterday I gasped like hell and 3 times I thought I will go back again but finally I arrived at the platform. And see - what a beautiful view we have from there.
Have a sunny sunday all :)

TgiF.......

....and again a whole week passed by - holy moly these times are flying.... Just came home from a nice run and now off to shower and then doing the grocery shopping - this evening we are invited by neighbours for a birthday party and I have offered to prepare two desserts. I will do a fruit yoghurt with lots of fresh berries and will bake some letters which say " Happy birthday Susanne"
Saturday we will have the last evening with our friends and neighbours as sunday, monday and tuesday they are in the middle of their move to Essen. Hope for my photobook to arrive these days as I sent it 10 days ago and normally they are done in 7 days - but as there is holiday season there might be a "traffic jam" :)

When we went to Tegernsee on monday I took the photo below and I had to laugh about that as I checked it here on my computer. I for sure saw the dog but didn't recognized that the was sitting in the shadow while the woman sat in the sun - what a difference. Dog is looking for shadow while "mommy" wants to sit in the sun - hehe....

Did a photoshooting of a girl this week - this is little Katharina:

And did a photoshoot of another "girl" this week - this is Ute:

Team up thursday - week 10

I sooooo love this "project" - every week it makes me smile when I see the photo Marcelle took.  So often we are so close with our thoughts and this week again we did almost the same:

I took my photo on Monday when Achim and I did a trip to the "Tegernsee" and I asked Marcelle to send her photo a little earlier as Achim was at home yesterday so I had "no chance" to work on my computer. And as soon as possible I got Marcelles "reply" - again almost the same thought of photo. Marcelle once again convinced me to take the photo I'd already chosen - because it was my first thought and just due to the fact we both had the same idea I shouldn't take another one. It shows how similar we think :)

This weeks theme is chosen by Marcelle and it's called "Black and White" - so see what the South African and German Girl did:

This is Marcelles photo: I love the clearness and the sharpness of the halms in front and the blurring in the background - so rich in contrast and if I were Marcelle I would print this photo on canvas. I am totally in love with that photo. Well done Marcelle - BRILLIANT! This is the kind of photos I adore.

Now our diptych: (click to enlarge)

And this is my photo:

Now off to eliminate the mess the thunderstorm left last night - omg I was sooo proud of my garden yesterday afternoon - everything looked so nice and in the late evening we had a terrible thunderstorm with biiiiiig hailstones.... Funny thing was I visited a girl friend in the west of Munich and we sat outside the whole evening and when I called Achim on my way home he told me about that thunderstorm - 20 km difference and such a different weather - unbelievable......

12 of the 12th - July

First I have to explain that this wasn't an "usual" 12th - as Achim and I decided to take a few days off we slept a little longer and did a trip to the beautiful "Tegernsee" which is about 40 km away from Munich. So most of the photos were taken during our trip - okay here we goooo :

This is my view out of my bedroom  (unbelievable when you know you're living in Munich) - when the weather is nice LOL. So I woke up to a beautiful monday morning ....

I took a shower and washed and dried my hair (hehe soo funny after I've showered I dried my hair and with all this warm air around I did sweat again and thought "Why and for what the hell I took the shower before?"
(And nooo I don't get paid for this photo....)

Mostly and desperately needed "machine" in the morning is my coffee machine - without coffee I can't move :)

My "flower chair" - walked around in the garden while waiting for hub to be ready for "take off"....

On the way to the Tegernsee we saw some nice valleys and here I yelled "stop" and hub nearly got a heart attack because he thought we were close to an accident and again I was told "NOT TO CRY AND SHOUT AND YELL "STOP" OR SOMETHING SIMILAR WHEN THERE IS NO NEED" (oh I was in desperate need of this shouting.... I wanted this photo)

This is the view to our beautiful Tegernsee - this time I asked calm if it would be possible to stop for a photo and see - no problem :)

Every time we are here we rent a boat to go to the middle of the sea and go swimming - always nice not to be on the beach where it is a little crowded - its sooo fantastic to jump into the water from  in the middle of the sea...
But we rented an electric boat - not a rowboat....reason is not that we are afraid of row the boat - there were some clouds at the sky and we were told that there migth be a thunderstorm coming up - and so we decided to take an electric boat as we can be back very soon. You know here in the mountains a thunderstorm can come up very very soon and very very fast - you don't see any cloud and half an hour you have a heavy thunderstrom and its no fun to row your boat then....

As I have totally forgotten to take a photo with part of my body I could say that this knee is mine - but honestly I don't want you to think that is my knee (you know the reasons for that - do you? A wifes knee with this hairs is not that feminine) - So please forgive me I forgot to take a photo of part of my body and I don't want to do it today because it isn't the 12th anymore...

On the way back I did that photo of a wheat field - I love those photos and normally I would have asked hubby to stop but being in a queue in front of a traffic light I didn't want to be the reason for a traffic jam just because a crazy woman wants to take a photo of a boring wheat field...

Yummy - yummy - yummy - I wanted that but being reminded that I have to take care of my weight I instead took a photo of this - nevertheless yummy yummy yummy I want one!!!!!!

So now whats that I hear you asking - back in my garden we first jumped into our pool which now has lovely 24 degrees - but as the grass needs water too we had to water our garden in the evening - so this is the lawn sprinkler.

You remember the first photo which I took in the morning out of my bedroom window - this is the look out of my bedroom window into the other direction.... you see what's coming closer and closer???? Yes we thought we would get a terrible thunderstorm too - but we only get a strong wind - no rain  no thunder  no lightning...

That was my 12th of July - very ecxiting about all your photos - now off to check them....

Sunday again - please let me know where the time has gone....

Greetings from our garden:

Sheww - I think the older you are the faster time flies by. Wasn't it monday already - and now its Sunday again???? Something is wrong......
Hubby returned from South Africa on Friday early afternoon and was sooo excited - even the Germans did lost their match against Spain. He was totally excited about the football world championship held in South Africa. Told me that he wasn't afraid any single second that something worse can happen - always friendly and nice people around him and the South Africans have a special way to show their happiness and proudness. Singing and dancing people everywhere - waving flags of Germany and Spain....I think with this perfect venue South Africa has shown that it is a safe place and no need to be afraid...... We all know that bad and dangerous people are all over the world - if you know how to behave and react and if you know which places you shouldn`t go and which places are safe then its a beautiful and gorgeous place to be.

team up thursday - Week 9

Here we go again - this weeks theme is chosen by me and it is: On the beach

I think its a little related to the weather right now here in Germany - we have a wonderful time at the moment - nice temperatures and its not as hot as it was last week. So I thought "on the beach" would be a nice theme.
My photo was taken in Australia when we were close to Perth - a very nice beach called Cottleshaw - very nice houses around and a nice area. We've been to Australia in November 2006  - but never went to the water as it is sooo dangerous regarding sharks. And although nearly everyone knows that there are people who cannot listen and go to swim or to surf. And on one of our last days there we've heard about a young Surfer who was attacked by a shark - I cannot remember exactly but I think he lost a leg. For me its unbelievable that some people have no respect of those animals.

I love Marcelles photo as the South African Flag is next to the German Flag - so South African-German-Friendship- like .... aaaand there are soooo beautiful colors in her photo - really makes me feel happy and exciting - the clear blue sky - the colours of the flags  - afir me a "happy " and brilliant photo.

Am a little lazy with my blog entries but I have a lot to do these days although Achim isn't at home but maybe that keeps me busy with appointments and and and....

Tuesday again - time flies by....

I am not up to date - I didn't update my blog - I am way behind..... Sooo much to do and lazy at the weekend.
I had a very nice weekend with hubby - Friday evening we were invited by our neighbours for a bbq and my saturday began with a 5 km run with my neighbour and hubby joined us. He isn't used in running so he did a shorter route and we girls did a 5 km route - was way too later (10.15 am) and way too hot but lot of  forest so we did good.
In the afternoon we watched footie and blew the vuvuzela - 4:0 against Argentinia - wow and what a game. This was football at its best. In the evening again we were invited by neighbours for their farewell party - they'll move to Dortmund in 2 weeks and it was a funny evening with lots of drinks - had headache in the morning and hate that.
Sunday was a lazy one - woke up at 9 pm and prepared breakfast in the garden - later I had a nap on my sunbed and in the afternoon I worked a little outside - have to do 4 photobooks who are ordered by the lady I scanned the 550 photos for.
Monday I started the day with playing golf with my neighbour - we did good and when I came home I had to iron a few things for hubby who left in the afternoon to fly to South Africa for the semi finals. Lucky him!!!
Right now I am waiting for his call to let me know he arrived safe and sound in Johannesburg - later he is on the way to Cape Town and this evening I will try to find him on the tv screen (lol). I should have prepared a banner for him.
I have to work on my photobooks and later I will stop by at my mother in law - in the evening I will meet up with a friend at a greek restaurant (again calories .... but I will have fish and NOOOO alcohol). We will meet up very early (6:00 pm) so I will be home at around 9:00 to see most of the match.
Tomorrow a former colleague of me will come over and we will have a nice afternoon outside (if the weather will be sunny again - today its very cloudy but the forecast said tomorrow summer will be back) and in the evening I will watch footie - GOOOOO GERMANY - !!!!! Thursday I have a photoshooting with a baby - very excited and then we have friday again and hubby will be back home!!!!!! yipppeeee! Haven't been without him for such a distance - lol.
So - almost my whole week is planned and mentioned here on my blog that would mean I don't have to blog the whole week - that means I am waaaaayyyyy ahead!!! LOL. But I will stop by and will post some chitter chatter
yay - hub called - arrived safe and sound in Johannesburg and had a fantastic flight with a 7 hours sleep!
Happy for him!!!!!

UPDATE: I just came back from a run with my new Garmin Forerunner 305 - what a fun! Did 9,85 kms (thought it were 10 kms but not bad guessed) in 01:03 hours. Love to see how the route is - a litte up and a little down which I never recognized. Funny how to see where I was at a pace of 05:14 - and then on a pace of 07:40.....Seems I have a new "friend"....

Random photos....

A friend of me sent me a link yesterday where you can easily create lots and lots of mosaics.
I love that and did a few just for fun - will show you:

These photos were taken here in Munich!!!!!! Unbelievable - isn`t it? Our big river is called the "Isar" and an "arm" of it is called the "Eisbach" and it has a canal with some swirls and drifts which are very dangerous and normally that surfing isn't allowd but the real surfer doesn't mind as long as they have fun....

And as I love watching animals I am often found at our zoo - I know sometimes I struggle with seeing those animals in cages as they are used to life without any fences but maybe there is some sense behind to have them here at the zoo - for example that we can watch them - that we get to "know" them a little....

Those shots I love - doesn't the middle photo of the right side looks like the tiger has its head out of the netting wire? Ha! I "played" a little......

I have seen those wondeful animals in wildlife - was in tears when I watched them how majestically they walk around with their long long legs..... will show some wildlife photos next week.

Beautiful animals too - isn't it? I like their orange colours.

Awwwww! No isn't that sweet?

So now I have to run - shopping list is done and to get everything it will take me 2 hours - later on sitting in the garden and working with my laptop from there - having a nice cup of coffee and enjoying that beautiful day...
Have a great weekend all and see you all soon :)

team up thursday - week 8

Awww how time flies by - unbelievable we are doing team up thursday for the 8th time...

This weeks' theme is chosen by Marcelle and we have: seeing double:

Today I think no words have to be add how alike Marcelle and I think sometimes. When I saw Marcelles photo I first thought I have to choose another photo because the idea of the sunbeds was exacly what I had in my mind when I first heard about the theme. So I scanned a lot of my photos and found an image which I "created" a few ywars ago but after talking to Marcelle she did persuade me to hold on with my first idea although my photo is very similar to hers.

I love Marcelles photo as it is perfect to me - the two identical sunbeds with the same pattern and green in it - the green grass and the green frame - BRILLIANT!

My photo is taken on our Turkey holiday in April this year and when you take a close look you see the sunbeds are not identical as on the right hand-side the sunbed has a mattres or ped on it.

Let me show the photo who didn't make the cut:
This is my little niece and somewhere along the way I played around with photoshop and this is what came out:

working weekend in Duesseldorf - part two

After I went to bed on Friday afternoon (arrived at my hotel at 01:00 am and went to bed half an hour later - couldn't sleep because of all that excitement and took my last look at my alarm clock at 02.30 am...
Had to go up at 07:00 - breakfast at 08:00 where I met my colleauge Tobias and then at 08:30 we left the hotel and walked 5 mins to the group again. Left our baggage at their hotel and then Tobias did a shopping tour and I did a "cultural walk" through the city of Duesseldorf which was very interesting for me as I never thought about this town and learned a lot - for example this city is clear of debt and that means all kindergardens are "free" - you don't have to pay for that! Isn't that great??? And Duesseldorf is the one and only city in Germany where they have 3 lights for the pedestrian lights (no clue if you have to know that - but I've learned that).

So we walked around for about 3 hours and we all got a nice and informative impression of this beautiful town. When we started our guided tour the city was very calm and empty as most of the malls and shops open at 10.00 am and we started our tour at 09:00 - but the later - the crowded...I think thats normal.

After a two hours "break" - we had lunch - we started another tour with a curricle which was very nice.

I nearly fell off the curricle when I saw this: First I didn't recognize the dog but then I couldn't stop myself and I had to take a photo - but the biker was happy with that and grinned....

The dog had a special "bag" so couldn't jump out - how funny is that - and when the biker started again the ears of the dog flew up and down - sooooo cute I could not stop grinning and laughing.

It is said that Duesseldorf has the largest bar of the world  - its a whole street where one bar is next to the other - so it was no surprise for me that we got to know how Duesseldorfs dark beer tasts. And to avoid down falling glasses during the "ride" the table looked like this:

There were holes in the table where you could stick in the glasses. And as the coach man had to sit in front of the carriage it was my part to refill the glasses every now and then. I was told I did a good job! So if my business will run bad - I try to become a "bar woman" - lol.

After the ride we arrived at the hotel around 05:00 pm and all guests had to refresh as an hour later they got picked up for dinner on a boat on the river Rhein. For us photographers our jobs were done and we waited for the taxi to the airport - had a nice flight back without any probs and hubby picked me up at the airport at 09:30 pm - a long but interesting and special day. This are days when I love my job to bits.

I had to edit a few photos but now all is done - I did around 650 photos and hope that they are happy with the result.
